We’re BinaryLogic and we have been delivering Cloud Solutions since 2016. Our Co-founders, Roger and Marty, got together in a coffee shop back in 2015 to brainstorm starting a business. Their conversation reached an ‘a-ha’ moment when they both realized they had the same business values such as trust, honesty, and hard work. Most importantly, they believed that business transactions revolve around relationships. They set the goal to build a company putting clients and employees first by working hard to earn their confidence because they knew people subconsciously make buying decisions based on who they can trust.
There are probably few, if any, business owners who don’t aspire to have a happy team. BinaryLogic’s philosophy was created to nurture positive employee and leader relationships. Here are 4 ways we keep our team happy:
When a member of our team ‘wows’ one of our customers with a particular interaction or does something unexpected, we express appreciation and recognition as loud as possible to help foster a positive workplace. Our aim has always been to catch our staff doing things right and tell them they’re doing a good job which motivates them to continue working to serving our customers with a high level of service.
We encourage our members to take breaks throughout the day, even when it’s busy. Taking a few minutes away from pressing work every 80 minutes allow our teammates to rest, refresh and refocus. We enjoy having lunches together to learn more about one another and we find this prevents burnout and oftentimes leads to a more productive afternoon.
We encourage our staff to maintain a work life balance. For our team, we acknowledge every week is different and can change on a dime. Allowing our employees to plan based on upcoming schedules and appointments and to get the work done when and where they want results in more productivity from our team and happier teammates. Our employees can choose to work in the office or at home and are set up with both options. We communicate on Microsoft Teams for video conferencing and use Microsoft Project to assign projects to ensure deadlines are met.
Team bonding is a big part of our culture and we have created an in-house opportunity for our employees to strengthen relationships with their coworkers. Weekly Friday get togethers after work are commonplace with our company and we talk everything except work which has helped our team develop more positive workplace relationships and more important strengthen employee trust.
Our team works out of the Work Nicer co-working space. We would love for you to come to our office for a coffee. Work Nicer is a community that rallies together to work through the struggles, celebrate the wins, and believes no one succeeds alone. We strive to make meaningful connections as we participate and host sessions of industry leaders and IT focus areas to network and learn from each other.
Our philosophy was created to nurture positive employee and customer relationships and provide a solid foundation enabling us strong delivery and focus.
